Scout Light Line Parts and Trademarks

Q. Can an individual or a shop buy parts from Scout//Light line Distributors,Inc.?

A. NO, SLL only sells to International Truck or Authorized SLL Dealers

Q. How Can my company become an SLL Dealer?

A. Because this is a small and specialized market SLL limits its independent dealers that are signed up in order to protect the sovernty of each dealer and their geographic area.

Q. Can I use the Scout or IH logos on my products?

A. Scout & IH logos are protected by copyright and trademark law, items may not be reproduced for profit without proper authorization and license agreement. These licenses are very limited in availability.

Q. Can my company reproduce OEM Scout or Light truck parts?

A. SLL purchased the Scout/Light Line parts support business from Navistar International in 1991, with this purchase came the right to reproduce OEM parts, SLL will protect its investment and will not authorize the reproduction of any OEM parts without a prior agreement and license etc. SLL has the support of Navistar International's legal department.

Q. May a non-profit club or group use the Scout or IH logos?  

A. SLL has granted the use of the Scout trademark to many non-profit clubs, groups or shows around North America. The IH logo general can also be used by these groups with the proper disclamers and copyright text. Please contact us for more information.

International Truck and Engine Dealers

Q. I am an International Truck Dealer who does not wish to sell Scout or light line parts, where can I send these customers?

A. You may refer them to our website dealer locator or have them call or email us for a referral: Phone: 937-324-9338 Email: scoutlightline@woh.rr.com

Q. I am an International Truck Dealer, I do wish to sell Scout Light Line parts, but do not have the parts books any longer, how can I find the part numbers that I need and how can I order?

A. All Scout Light Line MT parts manual books are available in paper or on micro-fishe and can be ordered from our warehouse. To order all you need is your Navistar PDC ship to code. If you need assistance with 1 one simple part please call our parts order line and we will assist you by finding the part you need and check availability for you.

Q. Does SLL handle Used or Aftermarket parts?

A. We do not handle used parts, however our sister company and many of our dealers do. Many aftermarket parts are also available through our warehouse, please call or email for a list and availability
